flaked coconut in a can or package...not the coconut milk. It would be way to much liquid for it to cook down.

I want to know if can of coconut mean just coconut flakes or coconut juice?? I would like to make them one day because it sound too good. I love coconut and pineapple.

GOP, that is the recipe I use too. I am known to add different kinds of fruit to it depending on the season. I like to add chopped cherries at Christmas. And I love mandarin orange slices in it. I usually cut them in half. When strawberries are in season, I add berries if I have them. This pie is one of my favorites. Also, I am not a fan of coconut, so I most times omit that.

MILLION DOLLAR PIE

2 graham cracker crusts
1 can Eagle Brand milk
16 oz. can crushed pineapple
1/3 c. lemon juice
1 c. chopped pecans
10 oz. (lg.) Cool Whip
1 can coconut

In large container blend well the milk, pineapple and lemon juice. Add pecans. Fold into the above mixture: Cool Whip and coconut. Pour into crust and place in refrigerator. Let set 2 hours before serving.
