I am always simple. Elbow macaronni, tomato, cucumber, salt, pepper, garlic powder and mayo. I just keep adding until it tastes great.

For a different variety of macaroni salad, try adding to the cooked macaronia:
mayo
chopped up boiled eggs
cucumbers
finely diced celery
green olives diced with the pimento for color (I even add about a tablespoon of olive juice from the jar
salt and pepper to taste

Macaroni Salad ( Stressrelief\'s recipe) 1 16oz box Macaroni, Elbow-shells-or bow-ties Cook with 2 tbs Olive oil added to water. 1 Large sweet onion diced I Green bell pepper and red or yellow bell pepper diced. 2 Mount Olive Sour pickles The only place I have found them is at Ingles, you may find them at Food Loin also. Sour pickles not Dill. 6 or 8 hard boiled eggs. When all these ingredients are ready add Mayo and some of the Sour pickle juice to taste. You can salt and pepper to taste, I also add a little paprika. if you like a little kick to it you can also add a small Jalapeno chopped fine.
