looking for a goodwill burger receipe

5lb hamburger

ic soybean flour

1c cornmeal

1/2 small box sage

1/2 small box chili powder

one to two dozen or so wet hamburger buns or until mix is sticky

cook in hot grease not oil add slaw and mustard and enjoy!!! i use regular flour instead of soybean flour

taste just like a goodwill burger. Got this receipe from the record years ago when one of the ladies that made them orginally made them for I think a fund raiser at a nursing home and they printed the receipe probaby can look up in their arcihives

Here is threeI have collected with no Oatmeal

Goodwill Burgers
5 pounds of ground beef
Red food coloring
Sage
Yellow soy grits
Chili powder
Flour
From each five pounds of beef, over 100 patties were made up by hand.
Fried on one of the two big, flat grills in about 3/4" of pure lard.

Goodwill burgers 1

1 pound of breakfast sausage (canned Beverly Brand)
1 pound of hamburger meat
1 large onion finely chopped
1 cup of bread crumbs (any kind...buns, sandwich bread etc...)
salt & pepper to taste
mix thoroughly ..pat out in hamburger shape, fry in wesson oil
til done. serve on hamburger buns with mustard and slaw.
Enjoy

Real Goodwill Burger
2 1/2 Pounds Hamburger
1 Dozen buns
1 Cup Soy Flour
1 TBS Sage
1 TBS Chili Powder
1 Cup of Flour
1 TSP Salt
Run water over buns and squeeze out water
Then mix all ingredents together.
Make into patties and fry in cooking oil.
Serve on bun with onions ,mustard ,catsup.

if anyone has a recipe for the goodwill burgers that does not have oats in it i would love to have it thanks
