Luckily I had copied and pasted that recipe in my email box. Here it is. It is my favorite I have ever cooked.
Meatball Recipe - for the spaghetti sauce
1 pkg ground turkey (it has less grease) 1 cup oatmeal 1 egg 1 pinch salt 2-3 grinds fresh black pepper 10-12 leaves fresh basil (shredded) or 2 teaspoons dried 1 cup romano cheese 1 8oz. pkg mozzarella cheese (not shredded)
Combine all ingredients, EXCEPT mozzarella. Form into balls and press a whole in middle. Cut mozzarella cheese into small squares and put in middle of meatball. Make sure it is completely covered and meatball is pressed tightly. Cook 10-12 hours on low in sauce and Yum Yum Yum
She posted it a few times, here are other versions of the sauce
Meatballs : Ground turkey, chicken or beef: 1 lb or so 1 egg 1/2 cup oatmeal 1 tsp basil or fresh is much better 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper optional treat - cut up small pieces of mozzarela cheese to stick in the middle of meat balls - I have now added a fresh leaf of basil to each meatball and the kids love love love it. mix the above and stick the cheese in the middle...cover with two cans of TRADITIONAL hunts canned spaghetti sauce and cook all day on low 7 hrs minimum. Yes the meatballs go in raw and they cook just fine. Add one small can of paste about 10-15 minutes before serving...in crock to make sauce thicker. Added treat - add 1/2 cup or so of red wine in the a.m when you get going...gives the sauce a nice taste Another added treat...add a can of Alfredo sauce ...so 1 can spaghetti sauce and one can Alfredo sauce and cook all day - again yummm

Pick up some frozen meatballs at the grocery ...Italian and swedish are both good. Use a bottle of ketchup and a jar of grape jelly and mix together, Stir all ingredients and cook in a crock pot. Scrumptous.

I got this one off the Food Network...Throwdown with Bobby Flay.
1 lb ground chuck 4 oz. dried bread crumbs 4 lg eggs 4 oz. whole milk 6 oz. grated romano 3 oz.grated spanish onion 2 oz. finely diced fresh garlic 2 oz. finely chopped fresh italian parsley leaves 2 oz. finely chopped fresh basil leaves.
Preheat oven to 350...spray a baking sheet. Mix all ingredients in a lg. bowl, if mixture seems a little loose, add more bread crumbs.
Roll meatballs loosely about the size of a golfball and place on baking sheet. Bake for about 35 to 40 min.
I haven't tried it yet...but it beat out Bobby Flay.
