LONDON BROIL


3-4 lb. London Broil (any size is fine)
Garlic power
1 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. vegetable oil


Dust the London Broil with the garlic powder. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Place the meat in a large zip lock bag or a marinading bowl, pour the soy sauce mixture over the meat. Place the covered bowl in refrigerator and turn over several times during a 24 hour period. Grill the London Broil with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part. Slice in thin strips.

LONDON BROIL


1 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. honey
4 tbsp. brown sugar
3 cloves garlic
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
London broil


Crush garlic. Mix all ingredients in blender. Blend 2 to 3 minutes. Place London broil in large pan and add ingredients from blender. Refrigerate and marinate overnight or 4 to 6 hours at least. For best results, grill to desired doneness.

London Broil
1 1/2 cups of oil
1/2 cup of vinegar
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves
3 tablespoons of dry mustard
2 tablespoons of dry parsley
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of pepper
2 tablespoons of real lemon juice
Mix the ingredients together.
Cut the meat if you desire, fork each piece several times.
place in the marinade for three hours before grilling.
A piece of london broil is about 2.5-3 inches thick.
If you want to cook it rare to medium rare.
(Let it come to room temp before cooking,)
After cooking let it rest, and then slice it against the grain.
Have the grill temp at meduim to prevent burning the outside!!
For medium rare, I'd go about 7 or 8 minutes a side turning once.
You want about 145 degree internal temp. and then let it sit for about 10 mins. on cutting board

Daddy P, London Broil is a cut the supermarkets put on sale often. I don't know what it usually goes for because I stock up when a sale is on. It has been available recently at $2.29 and $1.99 but I heard all meat prices will be going up.

you can slice it across the grain and use it for stir fry. Or look under dutch oven recipes and make swiss steak from it. The swiss steak recipe calls for using a meat mallet to tenderize it

I have a question about the price variation of London broil. I am pretty sure that I bought the last pack of it for about $3.00 to $4.00 and it was pretty big. I can't remember if it was at Lowes Food or Food Lion. I looked at some at Lowes Food the other night and the cheapest pack was $11.00. Does the price go up and down that much or did I possibly buy a mispriced one?

I made the london broil Saturday night I followed Bushman's cooking tips on the grill and it was very good. I marinated it for about 24 hours in a bag. I threw in the bag a little of what all of you recommended: Italian dressing, garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, red wine vinegar, worschesire sauce. I just wish I had remember to fix Thazzrites sauce to drizzlle over it after it was done. I am going to make this often because the london broil was only about 3.00 and you can't beat that for a meal that will feed several.

i vote CROCK, I have never had much luck with grilling either and find that you cant go wrong when it comes to meat in a crock pot. will you still need to marinate if you crock?? maybe for extra flavor

I am seriously considering cooking it in the crockpot like someone else suggested. I don't have much luck when grilling steaks and stuff. I am afraid it will be tough. I am going to marinade it all night. Should I grill or crock?

Bushy do you grill this on very low heat or med, high? I am going to fix one tomorrow on the grill hopefully. (if hubby gets the dang grill put together )

I do a marinade similar to Natural Man. I use olive oil, lemon pepper, kosher salt ,and garlic. Leave in the fridge for at least 24hrs then sprinkle with black pepper and grill. I slice it really thinly and drizzle with a sauce made of...
1 teasp lemon pepper
2 Tblsp wors sauce
1 clove garlic pressed
1 stick butter melted
My household loves this!

The way that I fix my london broil is ...

1 bottle of Italian Salad Dressing
Some Red Wine Vinegar
Worcestershire Sauce
Minced Garlic
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Minced Onion

I marinate the meat in the above mixture for 2-3 days depending on when I am planning on fixing it. Then I will either prepare it on the grill or in the oven. By the time I get through with it, it is very tender and very good.
Always remember to slice london broil against the grain, not with it.

Dale's sauce is sold at most supermarkets but it has a very large amount of salt .If you are on a low salt diet read carefully.
