Try Terry Ho's yum yum sauce..... Food Lion carries it in section with tarter sauce etc.. It is closest great tasteon to any shrimp sauce and taste great on shrimp steak chicken.

I appreciate the info. I was buying it from food lion and then they changed to a creamy c*cktail sauce.

I have while vinegar and balsamic vinegar. Can one of these be substituted for rice vinegar?

To be honest, these are the recipes that Bushman posted a while back. The first one looks good. I have not tried either one of them. Try sending Bushman a PM, he will tell you which one is best!

The secret is you have to use JFG mayo at least for it to taste like Makotos in Boone. Will see if I can find my Mokotos recipe this evening.

Shrimp sauce 1 cup mayonnaise3 tablespoons white sugar3 tablespoons rice vinegar2 tablespoons melted butter3/4 teaspoon paprika3/8 teaspoon garlic powderIn a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, white sugar, rice vinegarmelted butter, paprika and garlic powder.Mix well, cover and refrigerateor...2 cups mayonnaise1/2 cup water1 teaspoon sugar1/4 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon garlic juice3/4 teaspoon ketchup1 teaspoon ground ginger1 teaspoon hot sauce1 teaspoon dry mustard1 teaspoon paprika3/4 teaspoon white pepper (be easy on the white pepper. if you overdo it, that will ruin the whole thing).

Heat up some margarine, add garlic and sugar., add a little ketchup , a lot of mayo, and a hot sauce, like cholula or the Asian rooster sauce. ,
