lol i love hummus but that made me laugh this morning

Best thing to serve hummus on is as follows....Remove lid from can (35gal is the best size) turn over and place plastic on the lid. (Iusually dont put crackers out so I dont waste them on this) Spread hummus on plastic wrap using the whole package, then carry cover back over to can and flip the whole mess back into the garbage. That is the best way to get rid of that mass

Try it with apple slices. It is delicious!

I got some hummus the other day at lowes, it was the roasted pepper type. Had it with some pita chips, that are one sale and they were AWESOME!

I also noticed today that Walmart has Hummus cheaper than Lowes, over by the bakery section. :)

Your post made me look for this at Lowes on 421 and I bought some spinach artichoke hummus. It was on sale for 2.99. I bought some pita chips to go with it. It was really good.

loanchef I like to add a Jalapeno to it too.And a touch of sweet Onion before blending.

very easy to make 3 cloves garlic,....1 can chick peas,....put in a food prosessor and combine, slowly stream in EVOO until it comes together in a paste....very good

It's also good with pita chips.

I LOVE the Garlic Lovers Hummus! It is sooo good! The kind with roasted red peppers is good, too, and the kind topped with pine nuts. I buy it at Food Lion. Look for it in the "Deli Region" of the store.

I love to buy flat breads and toast them in the oven, then cut them into triangles and use them to dip the hummus. It is also good with crackers or even tortilla chips.

i've never made it but i don't think it's hard, you make it from chickpeas i believe... it is good, i'd like to try to make my own some time. i used to buy it and mix half hummus and half grated carrots for a sandwich on some yummy honey wheat bread

Lowes does sell it, as does Food Lion. Its VERY yummy! There are SEVERAL different kinds.

I had some hummus from Lowes Food a few years ago. A family member actually brought it from a Lowes in Raleigh so I am not sure they sell it here or not. It was very good. No one else liked it but me and the people who brought it. They brought pita chips to go with it. You should go to Lowes and see if they sell it and try theirs if they do. It kind of tastes like bean dip if I remember correctly.

anyone have some recipes? I have never eaten it, but heard that it was good. Would like to try a simple and tasty recipe. :)
