Occasionally they have a sign that says, Fresh Bread, but it is always a off brand and not good tasting bread.

I used to be a bread man and they deliver on Mon, Tues , Thurs, Fri and Sat. Forget the dates on the loaves look at the twist ties. Let me know the brand you are buying and I can tell you the different colors, Is it flowers, sunbeam, sara Lee, pepperridge farms, arnold, bimbo merita there are fww more .
But the best day is on Monday afternoon because most shop over the weekend and the loaves left over from the weekend are put on top and most just take it off the top plus shop off the bottom szhelf as most do not want to bend. Just a few helpful hints

Just go up to the clerk and ask them which of them doesn't taste like **** and if they answer with point at the bag their yha go but seriously the best way is too look at the expiration date I suppose. Go to walmart or the bread store right next to glens tasty freeze they won't let you down. What ever you do not buy the double fiber bread cause you can't do nothing with it and I mean nothing from making sandwitches and **** to make it taste anymore appealing other then to slab it with lots and lots of mustard and imagine eating a wooden board cause that what it boils down too.

I buy different brands ever week but still can't seem to get fresh tasting bread. Is there a certain day the bread is delivered and put out?

It's usually done by touch. or smell.
Or you could just bake some yourself.
