if Iset the ham slices in cold water in firg over night before quick fry in morning is that too long to soak?

I like a country ham sandwich too.. on a hamburger bun with lettuce , tomatoe, and mayo.
They have them at Glenns.

I just fry mine in a pan...just takes a few minutes.

I agree- just a little frying on each side. Doesn't take much. And you can add coffee to the grease to make red eye gravy.

I would fry it 45 seconds on each side. (med. Heat)

Well, I know if you buy a ham, bake it over night in a cooking bag, then strip it off to make sandwiches.

Its awesome!

I dont soak mine, the more salt the better!!! All you have to do is basically heat it, but I fry mine until a little brown and i do use oil

no oil needed.but i do suggest letting the ham stand in cold water for a few hours to take some of the saltiness out of it.
while frying it,let it get a little golden brown around the edges.
cured country ham doesnt require being cooked.its cured and edible as is.
you may just want to microwave it for a few minutes.

Can some one tell me how do you cook those thin peices of country ham
want to make sandwitches
do I put some thing in pan to fry it in?
