Igloo Chili 1-2lbs ground beef 1 medium onion 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar (I do it by taste, sometimes it needs more) salt & pepper 1 teaspoon chili powder 2 8oz. cans of hunts tomato sauce. You may need more tomato sauce depends on how much hamburger you use. Brown hamburger and onion drain off excess fat then add the other ingredients Simmer 45 to 50 minutes
bakersdozen (view profile) | Posted 2:58 pm, 08/08/2008 | 3 lb. ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 1/4 cup worchestershire sauce 1/4 cup chilli powder 1 large can crushed tomatoes 3 tablespoons ketchup 1 can tomato soup Brown beef and onion, salt while frying if desired, drain. Add all ingredients in saucepan. Simmer about 30 minutes, taste, can add more chilli powder or worchestershire sauce if needed. Can be used for hot dogs, over nachos topped with cheese or over spaghetti. |

Drain off the water and fat. Stir in the other ingredients and add enough water to obtain the desired consistency (1-2 cups). Stir and simmer for at least one hour. Yummy!!! I like to use chili sauce (hunts or heinz) rather than catsup. |
