What's up with the little square and arrow that appears in some posts? Does anyone know?

decsurvey: That's a smart way to shop! Plus, a can or two of soup makes a good "base" if you want to add your own veggies, meat, or pasta for a larger pot of soup.

When I was a kid (we had to dodge dinosaurs back then) when It snowed we always had grilled cheese and tomato soup.
I still do that when It snows now.

Local supermarket had a sale on Cambells Soup at 2/$1.00. I stocked the shelves full of Veg Beef, Chicken Noodle, and Tomato.
About 25 cans of each.

Yes, UU, I make my own using potatoes, onions, canned clams, butter, milk and bacon.
I like the canned clam chowder too, but if I'm making a large pot of it, I usually make if from scratch. I might add one can of of the "store bought" chowder to the pot for good measure.

Do you make your own? I used to back in the 80's but I was the only one who liked It so I stopped and just heated up a can when I got the yen (Although I added bacon).
