One of the easiest recipes I know is by taste. Brown lean ground chuck, (mash up fine with fork),drain most of the grease then add small amount of Texas Pete, a shake of chilli powder little sugar, and sqeeze however much ketchup to make it the consistancy you like. Taste to see if you want more spicy or not. This is great hotdog chilli, I make it for partys and it is always praised. My family also use it as a dip for chips.

Coney Island Hot Dog Chili

In salted skillet, over medium heat, brown ground beef with onion, breaking up meat with fork to crumble fine. Drain off fat.
Add mustard, vinegar, sugar, water, Worcestershire sauce, celery seed, and Tabasco sauce. Mix well. Add enough catsup to keep mixture loose. Reduce heat to low, and simmer (uncovered), for 35 to 40 minutes. Makes enough sauce for six to eight hotdogs.

The best hotdog chili I ever had, you don't brown the meat. Just raw meat ketchup chopped onion, salt, pepper. Add chili powder after cooked.
