And were the buns toasted, warmed on the grill, steamed or nothing - right out of the bag?

Heartfelt without knowing what brand of mayo and vinegar and how fine to chop the slaw and how many days it was left sitting (hopefully refrigerated) you haven't told us anything. Have you ever been hypnotized to a previous time or waterboarded?

I worked at Hester's back in 1974. Yes the slaw did have sugar, mustard, cabbage, mayo, salt, pepper.

Hester's hotdogs like the Goodwill burgers will never be exactly duplicated. Gone forever. Someone sneak the chili cook at the Igloo a $20 bill and make us a YouTube video of all the details, including name brands of the chili powder, beef, etc.

I started leaving out the vinegar , I think my slaw tastes better without it. Occasionally I put just a tad of bread and butter pickle juice in it. You have to be a good cook to know what a tad is.

There's rice vinegar, wine vinegar, malt vinegar, apple cider vinegar, distilled vinegar and on and on. So bluebird do you mean malt vinegar?

It is better to use brown vinegar than clear. It gives it a better flavor.cabbage Mayo salt pepper vinegar and a small pinch of sugar.if you use to much salt add more sugar.to much pepper makes it better.to much Mayo add more cabbage.

I would never put sugar in corn bread ! 1/3 cup sugar in slaw is ridiculous. Glitter and I said pinch or two, unless you're maybe making a gallon . You have to be a good cook to know what a pinch is.

Exactly smalltownman knows his cornbread. Now I know KFC slaw is chopped pretty fine and probably does have sugar in it just like Paula Deans and the Food Networks award winning slaw recipe has 1/3 cup of sugar in it. Now the reason is all their taste testers are women or their children that don't know any better.u

Anybody who puts sugar in cornbread needs to be buggy-whipped on the courthouse square
