bdwknw98 try this ,it is very close to Bojangles Marinated slaw.I loved it and they quit selling it so I made my own.
Marinated Slaw
1 Lg Cabbage chopped fine
1 Green pepper chopped fine
1 Small bottle Pimento peppers
1 Onion chopped fine
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup vinegar
1 TBS Salt
1/2 Tps black pepper
1 Tbs Dry Mustard
1 Tps Celery seed
1 Tbs mustard seed
2/3 Cup oil
Heat last 8 ingredents in a suuce pot and heat till boiling.
Pour over cabbage and mix well.
Put in pint containers and store in refrigerator.
Best after 2 days.

Lexington BBQ Slaw
Classic Lexington style bbq slaw that is served
with pork in the Piedmont in North Carolina
1 lb Chopped cabbage
4Tbs ketchup
1Tbs vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
3Tbs sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper
Mix all ingredients and allow at least 20 min in the fridge before serving.
This slaw is usually served right on sandwich.

Does Bojangles not still have it? I LOVE theirs. I havent had it in a while though.

When did stores stop selling barbecue slaw? I had plans and a menu ready and I found out today that they do not sell barbecue slaw any more. Ingles did not know what it was. I cannot remember mama's recipe. I need the simplest one for Friday please.
