If you have a Food Lion nearby there is a FL brand heavy cream. Its in the dairy and comes in a container like half and half. It actually says "Heavy Cream" on the carton and I think the carton itself is blue or green.

It called for Heavy Cream that every store doesnt carry.It can be replaced with other things if not sold in your local store...

I would think that if the recipe called for heavy whipping cream, I would use that. There must have been a reason that the recipe was written that way.

I have used half and half, heavy whipping cream and regular whipping cream for "heavy cream". They all work. I just usually buy the cheapest one.

No it is whipping cream in the dairy section..In a container just like regular milk.

I think its the same thing as whipping cream..Thats what I have been using.

can you help? when a recipe calls for "heavy cream'' just what are they asking me to use? Is it canned milk?? Thank you for your input.
