Eyeball mashed potatoes and bloody fingers.

Take mashed potatoes and shape them into mounds on the plate. Insert olives and it makes them look like green eyes.

Use chicken tenders (frozen or homemade) and cook as directed. Take petite baby dill pickles and cut it in half both ways like a +. When chicken is done, use a drop of ranch or sauce to glue the pickle on like a nasty green fingernail. Put Ketchup on bottom of chicken "fingers" to make it look like blood.

Very cool idea mommy. Yep, tastes of home is where it's for awesome seasonal cooking ideas!

I'm really flattered about how many people want my kitty litter cake! Just PM me and I'll be happy to send it to you! Good luck to all who give it a shot! I hope it's a hit for you! Although I can't take full credit for coming up with the recipe. Thanks to my old pal Marianna S. for giving me the idea, I hope I didn't gross you out too much that Halloween!

Hey your welcome mandi! The fudge is a favorite of my friend Dave P. I'm really happy it turned out well for you. I don't have a peanut butter fudge recipe but I will let you know if I find one.

My sweetheart and me made roasted pumpkin seeds last night. This was the first time I had them. They were really good.

Hey Quack, that tells me that Halloween costume parties are super popular. And what's not to love! Costume parties rock! They are super fun. I think it's our way of carrying on the more formal tradition of the clasic 'masquerade' parties.

Anyone else have any awesome recipe ideas? I love swapping creative ideas like this. Halloween is my favorite holiday because it's all about the sweets and I LOVEZ ME SOME CHOCOLATE!!!! speaking of...

I also want to share my recipe for Rocky Road Fudge! I usually make it for friends around Christmas time but it's so easy to make that it's fun for any holiday. It's also wicked tasty! LOL!

*1 16 oz can chocolate fudge frosting

*1 12 oz bag of chocolate chips

*1/2 cup chopped walnuts

*1/2 cup mini marshmallows

*aluminum foil

*1 teaspoon butter

Step 1: line a square or rectangular pan with aluminum foil. Then rub butter over the foil. (This helps the fudge not stick)

Step 2: in a large bowl combine frosting and chocolate chips.

Step 3: melt mixture in the microwave until smooth. Cool for 10 minutes

Step 4: stir in walnuts and marshmallows

Step 5: Transfer mix to pan

Step 6: place pan in refrigerator, chill until firm

Step 7: Cut up fudge into squares with knife

Step 8: Share and Enjoy

*This recipie is highly recomended by my friend Dave P.*

That kitty litter cake sounds like it would have everyone laughing. I read that Wal Mart sells kids costumes but the majority of costumes are adult costumes. What does that say.

You know it! The Kitty Litter cake is always a hit every year I make it. I heard about the idea through a friend of mine and I made a few extra modifications to give it an extra dose of realism to make it more spooky. I was afraid to post the whole recipe on here because it sounds extra gross when you read it out loud. LOL! I'll be more than happy to share my version of the cake to anyone who sends me a PM.

Although I do have a few more recipes I can share that is less gross.

Worms n' Dirt c*cktail

*1 box chocolate fudge pudding

*1 bag Oreos

*1 bag of gummy worms

*pretzel sticks

*plastic champagne/wine glasses

Step1: Make pudding as directed

Step 2: Crush up some Oreos until they reach a 'dirt' like consistency

Step 3: When pudding sets, fill each glass about 3/4th of the way full of pudding.

Step 4: Top off pudding with crushed Oreos

Step 5: Garnish top and bury some gummy worms in the "dirt and mud" mix

Step 6: Break up a few pretzel sticks to sprinkle on top giving the effects of twigs

Step 7: Serve with a spoon

Step 8: Share and enjoy!

Also for anyone wanting to do a Harry Potter themed Halloween party, I created this dish that got RAVE-nclaw reviews...(hehe, sorry for the bad pun) This is the recipe for my "House Cup-Cakes", best of all, the recipe has a fun game that goes along with it!

*1 box of cake mix (Feel free to use any flavor you like but my preference is chocolate)

*2 cans of frosting (They can be the same or different depending on the cake mix you choose but I like clasic butter cream!)

*red, blue, yellow, and green food coloring

*'magic' sprinkles (I like to use the gold or silver sugar crystals because they make it look a little more magical)

Step 1: Bake cupcakes as directed

Step 2: Let cupcakes cool

Step 3: While the cupcakes are cooling, get your frosting ready. Split up one can of frosting into four bowls. In each bowl mix a different color, (EX: Bowl 1 gets red dye, bowl two gets green) These four colors are the colors that represent the four "Houses" in the Harry Potter movie. There is a fun little game you play with this recipe a little later.

Step 4: When the cupcakes are cool use a rounded teaspoon to carefully dig out a small hole in the middle of each cupcake.

Step 5: This is the tricky part, fill each hole with a different color frosting but not too much or you will ruin the 'magic'!

Step 6: Carefully take the regular colored frosting and frost the cupcake like you normally would. Be careful not to get the colored frosting mixed up with the regular color frosting (Baker's tip: This task is made MUCH easier if you use a piping bag or dessert decorator tool from Wilton rather than spreading the frosting with a knife.)

Step 7: Sprinkle the 'magical' sprinkles on top of each cupcake.

Now that the cupcakes are done, It's game time! There are two ways you can play. I've done this both ways with grown ups and younger kids and both groups always seemed very impressed by the 'surprise' inside.

For younger kids, inform them that you are going to start the "House Sorting Ceremony" like in the first Harry Potter movie. But instead of the sorting hat, bring out the cupcakes. Inform them that the cupcakes will determine what 'house' they belong to. Tell them that if they get a red cupcake they belong to Gryffindor, green: Slytherin, Yellow: Hufflepuff, Blue: Ravenclaw. The kids will be confused at first because all the cupcakes look the same but when they bit into them they will discover that the cupcakes are different colors...Your guests will be shocked but don't give away your secret!

For older kids/adults I just don't tell them that the cupcakes have different colored fillings. I let them find out for themselves. It's wicked fun to watch their reactions especially if they get a green one!

*And not a Harry Potter Fan, no problem. The recipe can also be used in a Star Wars theme. Just change the colors to red (for sith) and blue and green (For Jedi). Instead of the House sorting ceremony, let kids see what side of 'the Force' they choose!

I've got more party and recipe ideas, just send me a PM if you like what your reading!

Sure thing Rowan, as requested here's my candy corn pudding recipe! It's pretty simple, all you need is...

*1 box instant vanilla pudding
*1 box butterscotch pudding
*1 container whipped cream
*yellow food coloring
*orange food coloring
*candy corn (optional but recommended)

Step 1: make pudding as directed.

Step 2: when pudding sets color the vanilla pudding with the yellow food coloring

Step 3: when pudding sets color the butterscotch pudding with the orange food color

Step 4: There are two ways you can serve this dish. You can serve it individually in clear glasses (Margarita glasses work well) or you can serve it all together in one big glass bowl. however you choose to serve it just make sure the serving container is clear or it looses the 'candy corn' effect as it is a layered dish. However you choose to serve it, the layering process is the same.

Step 5: in your glasses or bowl. layer the pudding as follows, yellow/vanilla on the bottom, orange/butterscotch in the middle, and whipped cream on the top.

Step 6: Sprinkle candy corn on the top of the whip cream layer if desired.

Step 7: Share and enjoy!
