do you know how to make homemade biscuits if not use recipe from southern biscuit bag add 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil then use your favorite toppings chopped finely be sure to use cooking spray on aluminum foil and to roll your dough thinly enough to cook on the grill or just get some flat bread with the sun dried tomatoes and add toppings to that still gonna be good but much easier than homemade or premade dough sure to cook thouroughly

PIZZA ON THE GRILL

Pillsbury refrigerated ready-made pizza crust
any traditional pizza topping
mozzarella cheese or cheese of your choice

Spray pizza pan with non-stick spray. Pizza pans with small holes work best for this recipe. Spread out crust on pan, top with cheese other any of your favorite pizza toppings.

When coals are hot, place pizza to outer edge. Keep vents (if you have them) half open.

Cooking time may vary, usually 15-20 minutes. You may have to experiment with what times and temperatures work best on your own grill.

Done when cheese is melted and crust is brown.

HOME-MADE PIZZA ON THE GRILL

1 (10 oz.) pkg. all-ready pizza crust
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms, about 4 oz.
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, well drained & chopped (about 2 c.)
1 c. grated Mozzarella
1/4 c. chopped fresh basil leaves or 2 tbsp. dried
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Salt to taste

Star fire in grill, placing rack 5 inches above coals. When coals are almost ready (medium-low), cut 16x12 inch sheet of foil. Roll out pizza dough on foil to 15x10 inch rectangle; freeze on foil 10 minutes for easier handling.

Meanwhile, in 10 inch skillet over medium heat, heat oil; add mushrooms and garlic; cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender. Remove from heat; set aside.

When grill is ready, remove dough on foil from freezer; immediately invert onto grill, peeling off foil. Barbecue 3 minutes until set and bottom of crust is lightly browned. Using one or two wide metal spatulas, remove crust to cookie sheet set near grill; carefully turn crust so cooked side is uppermost. Spoon tomatoes over crust, leaving 1 inch border all round; sprinkle with cheese, mushrooms, basil, pepper and salt. Return crust to grill; cover grill; cook 6 to 8 minutes longer until filling is heated through and cheese is melted, watching carefully to prevent bottom of pizza from burning.

HAMBURGER PIZZA (ON THE GRILL)

1 1/4 c. tomato puree
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. minced onion
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. oregano
4 slices Mozzarella cheese, cut in half
Heavy Duty Foil Wrap

Mix 1/4 cup tomato puree with beef, crumbs, onion, egg and salt. Pat meat into 10 inch circle on 18 inch square foil making the crust for the pizza, turn up edge about 1/2 inch to hold filling.

Turn foil up and crimp edges about 1 inch away from meat to catch drippings. Spoon remaining tomato puree mixed with garlic and oregano over meat. Top with cheese slices.

Place pizza on grill 6 inches away from grey coals. Cook 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into wedges to serve with garlic bread.
