Well, I don't know how to make them, but there is a cafe in Mtn. View called Walter's that has the closest to the real ones that I have had. I have eaten "Goodwill Burgers" at other restaurants and they don't come close. The ones at Walter's do. I recommend them.

goodwill burgers

1 pound of breakfast sausage (canned Beverly Brand)
1 pound of hamburger meat
1 large onion finely chopped
1 cup of bread crumbs (any kind...buns, sandwich bread etc...)
salt & pepper to taste
mix thoroughly ..pat out in hamburger shape, fry in wesson oil til done. serve on hamburger buns with mustard and slaw. Enjoy!

I ate a goodwill burger once in about or around 1989 0r 1990 and it hurt me. I have never had anything give me hearburn so bad. If you have the secret recipe, please I beseech you, for the good of man do not tell anyone.

you know luckyone if your not gonna give them the recipes then dont worry if there recipes is missing certain ingredients or not.

Lucky one.... Come on tell us. The recipie should not die with your aunt. They are not for sale anymore so no one can take their business away. It is a shame that something so loved will be lost forever.

GOODWILL BURGERS

1/4 lb. ground beef
3 hamburger buns-wet and pinched into small pieces
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
2 tbsp.cornmeal
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 cup oatmeal

mix well fry in oil makes 4-5 burgers

I have a recipe.... Didn't get it from anyone that worked there and spilled the beans or anything but it's pretty darn close. However, I'm at work all weekend so I will post it Monday.

Yes I do......my aunt worked there and a few months before she died, i finally talked her into telling me. I promised her then and there it would stay with me, I cannot share it with anyone....arent they wonderful!!
