beachgurl Use the recipe from gowilkes but try some Cod fillets too.I have started using Cod in my tacos and Appetizers too.It is a firmer white flaky fish.Well suited for tacos.

none in Wilkes but if you're willing to take a drive Cabo Fish Taco in Charlotte probably has the best fish tacos in the state

@scooterboy... thanks for recipe link... looks great! I agree, tilapia falls apart too easy. But it's cheap and works okay if you keep in larger pieces, but definitely not my 1st choice.

Seafood tacos must be getting popular. Saw them on a Red Lobster advertisement yesterday.

I agree, shrimp are great and your recipe sounds like a good one, I've used tilapia, they're cheap, and work but fall apart too easy for my liking.

How about shrimp tacos? Love them! That's what I made for dinner tonight. I make a baja sauce with lite sour cream 8 oz, lite mayo 1/2 c, onion/chili/garlic powders, juice of 2 limes. Cut up some tomato, cabbage or lettuce, avocado & cilantro. For the shrimp, just use thawed, peeled/dev'd, put in hot pan w/ little oil & season with blackened seasoning or chili/garlic powders & lime juice. I also add a can of chopped green chili's once shrimp are almost done.

For a shortcut on fish tacos I buy frozen, seasoned tilapia fillets, bake for 20 mins then dice up for tacos (using same sauce/fixings).

Love fish tacos. Here is a good recipe, but just google Baja Fish Tacos and you'll get several variations. I like cilantro and avacado on mine, so I like this recipe. You can use any kind of fresh firm white fish (mahi, boneless cod, halibut). Enjoy!

Fish Tacos are a real food item? Hmmm - I must have been hanging with the wrong crowd.

Are there any restaurants in Wilkes that serves fish tacos? Or does anyone have a recipe they would like to share.
