Heres a couple of easy and cheaper ways to feed a lot of people .And they are good
Slow Cooker Stuffed Cabbage Filling: 1/2 lb ground beef 1/2 lb ground pork 1/3 cup uncooked white rice 1/4 cup finely chopped onion 1 t salt 1/4 t black pepper 1/4 t each onion and garlic powder mix thoroughly Sauce: 1 can (16oz) tomato sauce (around 2 cups) 1 cup water 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar. Try less first, and taste it. 1/2 t each onion and garlic powder 1/4 t black pepper I don't add salt, as the tomato sauce is usually salty enough, but you can add it later if you want. Have your cabbage leaves ready, fill them as you usually do, then put them in a slow cooker. Squeeze 1/2 a lemon over them, then pour the sauce over. Cook on low for 4 or 5 hours, then check to see if sauce has reduced and thickened. You want it fairly thick, so cook longer if necessary. If it doesn't seem to be cooking down fast enough you can switch it to high, but watch it carefully so that it doesn't cook away to nothing. The recipe is by no means exact, so correct seasonings to your taste. Enjoy! --- Sweet and Sour Beans 8 bacon strips, diced 2 medium onions, halved and thinly sliced 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup cider vinegar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground mustard 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 can (28 ounces) baked beans, undrained 1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1 can (15-1/2 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and drained 1 can (15 ounces) lima beans, rinsed and drained 1 can (15-1/2 ounces) black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove with slotted spoon to paper towels. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings. Saute onions in the drippings until tender. Add brown sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine beans and peas. Add onion mixture and bacon; mix well. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or until heated through.

Fried chicken is always good. If nothing else, go to one of the chicken joints, pick up a bucket, place it in your own container...no one will be the wiser, unless you leave some of the companies' literature in the bowl, and serve it as your own.
If someone gets sick on the chicken...then you are in the clear. Blame it on KFC, Church's. Bojangles. or whomever!
