They do better take them out of frig about 2 hours before making pies. I like this recipe and will make some pies tomorrow since we have some fresh eggs .My son loves egg custard pie.

I was told I should have used room temperture eggs. Does that matter or not? Thanks.

Egg Custard Pie 1/4 c. butter, softened 2/3 c. sugar 2 eggs 3 tbsp. Flour 3/4 c. evaporated milk 1/4 c. water 1 tsp. Vanilla Nutmeg 1 unbaked pie shell Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs and flour. Mix well. Stir in milk and water and vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees then reduce heat to 300 º for 15 more minutes.

I had an recipe for egg custard pie so I made it for Thanksgiving. It turned out like a fried egg pie with sugar. Yuck! Does anyone have any good egg custard pie recipes? Thank you ahead of time.
