You made me want a Chunky! I haven't thought about one of those in years. They were in the little square silver wrapppers! We're giving away our ages now :o !!

KellyG: We buy dried cherries all the time. Good to stop leg cramps and reduce chlosterol. They are really good. They might be better than the marischinos as they wouldn't be wet and might better hold up in the fudge. (Maybe they would offset the chlosterol in the sweetened condensed milk)! As soon as I return from out of town, I'll try some...or maybe add some raisins and cashews to taste like the old timey Chunky Bar. (I wonder! Do they still make that?)

I've also seen the recipe exchange the 1 cup of chopped nuts for 1 cup of peanut butter to make PB Fudge. This is a good base fudge recipe to add whatever you'd like too. I've thought about trying it with chopped up Maraschino cherries, I think that combo would be good too.

I make the same thing except I add a jar of marshmallow fluff, 2 tsp vanilla, and a scant 1/4 tsp of salt. I believe the recipe used to appear on the back of Kraft's Marshmallow Fluff and also on the Campfire Marshmallow bag. Anyway, I just like the creaminess the marshmallows give it.

For all you chocolate lovers out there, here is an easy fudge recipe!

3 cups Nestle Chocolate Morsels
1 can (14 oz.) Eagle Sweet Condensed Milk
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup chopped nuts (any kind you like)

Put everything but the nuts in microwave safe bowl, blend together, microwave at 50% power until morsels are melted (usually 3-5 minutes), then stir. Microwave at 50% for another 2 minutes, then add nuts and stir. Put into pan then chill in the fridge until it has firmed. Try not to eat the whole pan at once! :P
