cut into 1/2 inch slices cross grain of meat(steaks), roll in flour seasoned with salt and pepper, brown in frying pan with grease on both sides, remove to crock pot, pour 1 pk. of liptons ounion soup mix over it and cover well with water ( the more water the more gravy you make), best country style steak you have ate, great over rice or mashed potatos

I do the leg covered in bacon too, but i also put some slivers of garlic in those slits. Add any kinda veggies u want such as taters, carrots , onions etc and you have a one pot dinner. It is GOOD!

Cut some up into small chunks. Put them in a crock pot, pour in a can of V-8 Vegetable juice and cook 6-8 hours. About 1 hour before it's done, throw in some potatoes, carrots, and onions and cook til they are done. Delicious!

Cooking tip from my local taxidermist: Cut numerous slits in the leg and insert pieces of freah onion, then wrap leg in bacon and roast low-and-slow at 250 until done. Tastes pretty daggone good!

If you have a smoker That would work....you can also cut roasts off of it throw them in crockpot....slice some up and do jerky....cube some up and do deer stew with carrots potatoes etc....or you could use a salt brown sugar spice concoction and cure it like country ham....
