have to say the poster with the salisbury steak and gravy recipe for the crock rocks.

just made it again yesterday while working and came home to the softest thickest combination. it is my favorite because now i experiment and keep adding spices or something else i may already have in the cabinet. i love it and it was good with mushroom and jalapeno slices added.

Easy Cheesy Chops and Potatoes

Ingredients

4 or 5 boneless porkchops 1/4 inch thick
3 cans cheddar cheese soup
1 small onion, chopped
2 stalks of celery chopped
3/4 cup milk
6 med. russet potatoes, peeled and sliced

Directions

Lightly brown pork chops in lightly oiled pan over medium heat. This will take roughly 3 minutes on each side. While chops are cooking, add soup, onion, celery, milk, and potatoes to crock pot and stir. When pork chops are lightly browned on both sides, add them to the crock pot and stir to coat. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours.

I have a Fix and Forget it that uses only 5 ingredients in each recipe. I picked it up at Sams and so far we like everything I have tried from it!

at lowes home improvement... it is "FIX IT AND FORGET IT RECIPES FOR ENTERTAINING" by Phyllis Pellman Good and Dawn Ranck.

i have tried the internet recipes but there is something for me about having the book and flipping through anywhere and finding something rather than a page print out and not being able to save the site or losing the paper after i use it. too, i also highlight the recipe in the index to mark that i have cooked it so i can always try new stuff.

I have lots of cookbook but you can find any recipe online and not have to buy the book. I have been selling mine and just making cards of the recipes I like offline.

Here is a favorite of my family:

Cut 1 lb. boneless chicken breasts into bite size pieces
Place in crock pot with 1/2 c water and 1 envelope of italian dressing mix
I also sprinkle mine with a bit of pepper and Italian seasoning, but that's totally optional.

Let it cook for 3 hours on low and 1 1/2 hours on high. Just until the chicken is totally done.

Add one can of cream of chicken soup, 1 pkg. cream cheese, and one small drained can of mushrooms.

Allow to simmer in the crock pot until thoroughly mixed and hot (about an hour).

Prepare one box of bowtie pasta, drain (do not rinse), and add to the crockpot. Stir well and enjoy.

This is always a hit with whoever tries it.
