orange-cranberry relish recipe usually on the back of any bag of fresh cranberries. 3 ingredients....cranberries, orange, sugar. DELICIOUS!

Cranberry Relish

Great "twist" on cranberry sauce. This is good as a dessert also.
Ingredients

* 1 bag cranberries
* 1 orange, seeded and peeled
* 1/4 orange rind
* 1 cup pineapple, crushed with juice
* 3 red apples, peeled
* 1 1/2 cups sugar
* 2 cups celery, chopped
* 2 cups nuts, chopped
* 1 box cherry gelatin
* 1 box strawberry gelatin
* 1 cup hot water
* 1 cup cold water

Directions

1. Mix first 6 ingredients together and let stand for 2 hours.
2. Add celery and nuts.
3. Mix jello with hot water till dissolved.
4. Add cold water.
5. Add to cranberry mixture and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Ocean Spray Cran-Fruit Sauce in Cranberry Orange flavor! You can eat it alone or use it in your own recipe. The one in my fridge is 12 oz., I think that was the only size but I am not sure.

I make this every year, old family tradition, but I really don't have a recipe.

I use Grandma's old food grinder, I've tried the food processor but it just isn't the same.

Grind fresh cranberries and add sugar to taste. Grind some naval orange sections and a little of the peel. Add chopped walnuts just before serving.

I usually do this the day before Thanksgiving so the sugar has time to soak into the cranberries.

I am looking for a good relish or salsa that is made with oranges and cranberries, had some a long time ago and it was wonderful with the turkey. And a nice change from just cranberry sauce. Thanks
