Corn nuggets

Corn Nuggets
2 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cup flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 cups drained whole kernel corn
Beat eggs, and stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop from a spoon into deep fat and fry until brown

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 1/2 cups corn (fresh cut off the cobb)
Cut corn off cobbs and set aside.
Mix eggs until thick and creamy.
Mix in remaining ingredients and fold in corn.
Drop rounded teaspoons into 375º deep fryer and fry until golden brown.
Stir often to allow all sides to cook evenly.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a side of your favorite ranch dressing.

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups corn
2 eggs, separated
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
SERVES 4
Step 1
Combine corn, lightly beaten egg yolks, flour, sugar,
salt and pepper in a large bowl.
Step 2
Beat egg whites with an electric mixer
set at high speed until stiff peaks form, about 2 minutes.
Step 3
Stir egg whites into corn mixture.
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of corn batter into skillet.
Reduce heat to medium.
Cook until nuggets are browned, about 3 minutes per side.
Serving Variation
For a Mexican flavor, add 3 tablespoons chopped green chiles
and 2 teaspoons ***in to the batter

Super Wal-Mart in Taylorsville in the frozen veggie section, next to the fried squash. Under 4.00 for a big bag. We buy several bags at a time because our family eats it like candy!

Does anyone know how to make or where to buy cornnuggets like the ones they serve at smokehouse? they re breaded little round deep fried balls with what seems like creamstyle corn in them. I love those things...lol
