Hard-Crack Candy

1 Tbsp powdered sugar
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp flavoring
10 drops liquid food coloring

Sift powdered sugar on sheet pan
Combine sugar, water and corn syrup in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until reaches hard crack stage on a candy themometer (300 degrees). Remove from heat and stir in flavoring and food coloring. Pour into pan and cool. Once completely cooled break into pieces.
