I use 2 cups fairly finely diced chicken breast, 1/4 cup sweet pickle mix (Mt Olive), 1/4 cup dill pickles diced (Mt Olive), 2 stalks stringed, diced celery - quarter inch dice, 1.4 cup diced green or red peppers. (I prefer green),, 1 cup Dukes or Hellmans mayonnaise salt and pepper to taste, dash "It's a Dilly" seasoning, dash garlic salt.

I made up my own recipe tonight and used canned. I personally like the canned better because it shred easier. It tasted great.
I used two cans of chicken half an onion two stalks of celery 1/2 cup walnuts one can crushed pineapple drained one cup of green grapes chopped mayo to taste salt and pepper to taste garlic to taste thyme to taste seasoning salt to taste
I just kind of added stuff until I liked the taste. It turned out really good.

Thanks, I'll try this! Does the canned chicken work as well or is it much better to get fresh?

CLASSIC CHICKEN & GRAPE SALAD
3 1/2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, poached just until tender & cooled to room temperature 5 ribs celery, coarsely chopped 1 1/2 c. seedless green grapes, cut in half 1 1/2 tsp. dried thyme 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder (fresh garlic is overpowering) Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste 3 c. (or as needed) Hellmann's light mayonnaise
Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch chunks, removing and discarding any tough tendons as you go along. Toss the chicken, celery and grapes together in a large bowl. Season with the thyme, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bind the salad with the mayonnaise. You want to use a lot of mayonnaise to make the salad very moist and creamy. Transfer the salad to a serving bowl and refrigerate covered at least 1 hour before serving. Serves 6 to 8.
You can also use canned chicken
This is delicious!!!!
