Zesty Texas Snack Mix 6 tablespoons butter or margarine 1/4 cup hot red pepper sauce 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 teaspoon oregano 2 cups Fritos corn chips 2 cups Chex cereal (your favorite) 2 cups Ritz Bits mini cheese crackers 2 cups Corn Nuts 1 1/2 cups pretzel goldfish 1 cup roasted pumpkin seeds 1 cup Texas pecan halves Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a large shallow baking dish, melt butter. Add red pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and oregano; stir. In a large bowl, combine Fritos, Chex, Ritz Bits, Corn Nuts, pretzel Goldfish, pumpkin seeds and pecans. Add mixture to melted butter mixture in baking dish; toss to coat thoroughly. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool completely, store tightly covered. Makes 12 cups. Snack Mix 9 cups rice Chex cereal 1/2 c. oleo 1 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips 1 jar/pack dry roasted peanuts 3/4 c. peanut butter 2 c. powdered sugar Directions Melt oleo, peanut butter and chips over low heat. Pour over cereal and peanuts. Stir well and add powdered sugar. Mix well. Ranch party mix 1 envelope (approx. 1 ounce) Ranch salad dressing 2 tablespoons dried dill weed 6 cups cereal, a combination of wheat, corn, and rice 1 package (10 ounces) oyster crackers 6 ounces pretzel sticks, broken into 2-inch pieces, or miniature twisted pretzels 1 cup bagel chips, garlic or plain, broken up 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup melted butter Combine dressing mix and dillweed; add cereal, crackers, pretzels and bagel chips. Combine well. Mix oil and butter, then drizzle over cereal mixture, tossing to coat well. Place mixture in a large paper bag and let stand for about 2 hours, gently shaking from time to time. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 17 to 18 cups. PARTY MIX 1 c. pretzel sticks 3 c. rice Chex 4 c. wheat Chex 4 c. Cheerios 1 can (13 oz.) salted peanuts 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 2 tbs worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. celery salt 1 tsp. garlic salt 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese 1/4 c. melted butter Mix together pretzels, cereals, and peanuts in large mixing bowl or slow cooking pot. Sprinkle with garlic salt, celery salt, seasoned salt and cheese. Pour melted butter and worcestershire sauce over all. Toss until well mixed. Cover and cook in crockpot on low 3 to 4 hours. Uncover the last 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 3 quarts. Trash 3/4 cup Bacon Grease 1 1/2 sticks Butter 3 TBL. Worcestershire Sauce 3 TBL. Garlic Salt 1 1/2 tsp. Accent 3 TBL. Tabasco 2 tsp. Chili Powder 1 TBL. Seasoned Salt 3/4 tsp. Cayenne 1 lg. can Cashews 1/2 box Cheerios 1/2 bag (10-13 oz) Fritos 1/2 box Wheat Chex 1/2 box Rice Chex 1 sm. box Cheese Snack Crackers 12 oz. Shoestring Potatoes Preheat oven to 225 º Mix first 6 ingredients together in a small sauce pan. Heat to melt butter. Mix well. In a very large, oven proof container, mix together the remaining ingredients. Add the melted butter mixture. Stir well Bake 1-1/2 hours, stirring well every 15 minutes Place in air tight containers.
