Try mixing shredded chedder cheese and Hidden Valley Buttermilk ranch dressing powder and chopped ham to your cream cheese, then coat the ball with finly chopped pecans. My family loves it!!!!

laidback... I use a food processor. Works great and you won't have cheese all over your hands!

Taco Cheese Ball
1 package of cream cheese
2 ounces sour cream
1/2 packet taco seasoning
shredded mexican blend cheese
Jalapeno slices
Let cream cheese soften at room temp,
add in sour cream, taco seasoning,
form into a ball, roll in shredded cheese and chill.
It is better if you let it chill at least 2 hours
before serving to let the flavors blend.
Serve on a plate of sliced Jalapenos.
This is great with tortilla chips, corn chips, or on crackers

Laidback, this is the same recipe our family makes every year at Christmas too except we add dried chip beef chopped thinly. It adds great bite and spice.

laidback, a former co-worker used a similar recipe and made a well in the center and inserted a small dish of strawberry preserves. OH MY LORD, THAT WAS GOOD!!!

This is my aunt's recipe and I only make at Christmas.

2 - 8 oz cream cheese - well softened
12 ozs medium shredded cheddar cheese - well softened
1 small can crushed pineapple - well drained
1 medium chopped onion
1 medium chopped green pepper
chopped pecans (if desired)

Mix cream cheese and cheddar cheese until smooth. (The only way to do this is with your hands)! Add remaining ingredients and chill for about 1 hour. Divide and roll into 2 balls. You can then roll in nuts if desired.
