My husband detests celery, but he will eat the recipes I have listed on this thread no problem.
Here's 2 more:
Chow Mein Casserole:
1.5 lbs lean ground beef chopped onion (about half of a small onion) chopped celery (about 2-3 pieces) 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 cup uncooked rice (I don't recommend minute rice) 1 3/4 c water pepper to taste Chow mein noodles (in the asian section at the grocery store)
Brown the ground beef with the chopped onions and celery. Chop celery as fine as you want. I find that grating it makes it cook more thoroughly and disguises it better. Add pepper. Drain any fat, then add soups, water, and rice to the skillet.
Pour this into a baking dish and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
After cooking, cover the top in crunchy chow mein noodles and serve immediately.
Swiss Steak:
cube steak chopped onion and celery large can of diced tomatoes salt and pepper
Brown the cube steak in a little oil, add salt and pepper. Chop as much onion and celery as you want and add to the pan with the meat. Pour a large can of diced tomatoes over the top. Depending on how much you want to make, you might need more than one can. Cover and allow to simmer for quite some time. Watch the liquid and make sure it doesn't boil out. As soon as the vegetables are soft and cooked, it should be ready to eat. You might need to add more salt and pepper as you go along.
The sauce is delicious on a baked potato, too!

psp, I have never really liked celery but I have kept eating it and now I kinda like it raw but I prefer cooked with onions and peppers to hide the flavor. Try cooking it with spicer foods and see what you think.

I put minced celery in both tuna salad and chicken salad. Have you ever tried some celery stalks with either pimento cheese or peanut butter in them?

Chicken Roll Ups
2 packages crescent rolls (the ones that come in a tube that you find near the eggs/milk in the grocery store) 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts (cooked) 1-2 pieces celery 2 TBS. butter or margarine chopped onion (to your taste preference) can of cream of chicken soup 4 oz cream cheese pepper (optional)
Cook chicken (fry or boil) and shred or chop. Set aside. Use a cheese or vegetable grater to grate the celery Sautee onion and grated celery in margarine until cooked through add chicken to the onion/celery add cream cheese add 1/2 - 3/4 can of soup (if you use the whole can it is too sloppy) pepper to your taste simmer until hot and well blended
Unroll crescent rolls onto a flat working surface. You can either mash them with your hands to make them a little thinner and larger or you can use a rolling pin.
On the base of the triangle, add about 2 TBS of your chicken mixture on the crescent.
roll from the bottom of the triangle up towards the top.
Lay them on a greased cookie sheet and if you want, turn the ends down to form the crescent shape.
bake for 375 until crescents are golden brown (use the temperature the crescent roll package calls for)
This seems complicated but it is super easy and delicious. You don't really notice the celery. It gives it a nice flavor but since the celery is grated you don't know its there.
Good stuff!
