GROSS!!!! i don't want no boiled meat up in a jar
You don't know what your missing kid The wife and I can deer meat every year. It is all ready cooked so all you need to do is warm it up and use the juice in the jar to make gravy. This also helps to make the meat tender and remove the gamey taste.

You know, home canning can be very dangerous, even deadly. There are no short cuts. It must be done right.
Freezing is much more forgiving.

If you are going to can, make sure you know what you're doing. You really could kill your family. Botulism is deadly. This is not your run of the mill food poisoning.
