Tried the recipe - except my chocolate chips melted in the hot house and I only had chocolate cake mix, found some Heath bits so I used those. Well.... they were GREAT! Not like my Grandma's but they tasted great and were gone in no time! Thanks Goddess for the receipe!!!

EASY - TO - MAKE CAKE MIX COOKIES

1 pkg. cake mix of your choice (do not use cake mix with pudding)
1/4 c. oil
1/3 c. water
1 egg
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped pecans, optional

Combine the cake mix, oil and water. Break up any lumps. Add the eggs; mix well. Add the chocolate chips and pecans, stirring to distribute throughout the batter. Drop by teaspoon on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Remove and place on cooling rack.
