CABBAGE CASSEROLE

1 Small cabbage
3 T. butter
1 can broccoli and cheese soup
1 can mushroom soup
1 onion
1 Box Stovetop or Great Value Cornbread dressing
1/3 c. butter

Boil cut up cabbage 5 minutes; drain.
Mix with 3 tablespoons of butter and pour into 9x13 baking dish.
Mix soups together and pour over cabbage.
Place onion slices over top.
Cover with dressing.
Melt 1/3 cup of butter and pour over dressing.
Bake at 325 30 to 40 minutes.

My grandmother used to make this stuff. It is soooo good!

Cabbage Cassarole

In a 9 x 13 baking dish sprayed with Pam place as follows

1st Layer
1/2 head fresh cabbage- chopped very coarsely
1 small onion - chopped
2 Tbls margarine-melted

2nd layer
mix 1 egg, 1 can Cream of chicken OR celery soup, 2Tbls melted Margarine and 1/2 soup can of water or milk
pour over 1st layer

3rd layer
on top of 2nd layer put 3/4 c grated or shredded sharp cheddar cheese(I have used mild)
mix 1 sleeve of crushed Ritz crackers and 2 Tbls melted Margarine and place on top of all this.
Bake at 350 degrees for approx 45 minutes or until cabbage is down and topping is browned on top.
