Melt together over hot water (I just use low heat)
2 sq unsweetened Baker's chocolate
1/3 cup butter or margarine.
Beat in
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
Sift and stir in
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup broken nuts, if desired

Spread in a well greasted 8" square pan and bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes until top has a dull crust.

Frost if desired.

I've used this recipe for years, they are always good.
