Just remembered that if you line a dutch oven with bread on the bottom and sides then pour rest over everything this feeds a bunch of hungry cub scouts in the morning as well..

My girlfriend made this several weekends ago for me and some friends who were helping with my water problem. It nearly came out of the pan!! It feed three hungry men and her and we still had leftovers for supper one nioght. I'll have to mention the bacon to her that sounds really good...

That sounds like a great breakfast.

BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

12 eggs, beaten
1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 lb. browned sausage
6 slices bread, broken in pieces
2 c. milk

Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 9"x13" casserole dish. Refrigerate overnight, or at least 12 hours. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve warm.

You can also substitute 1 pound of browned bacon cut into 1" pieces instead of sausage, or use turkey breakfast sausage. This recipe is very versatile because you can also add vegetables or use different cheeses.
