Sorry to hear about your emus. All we've got are deer, deer, deer, deer. Anyway, thanks for the recipe. My picky hubby will probably try this since it has BEER in it. I want an invite to Bushman's house cause if he cooks as good as his recipes, I'm in.

only brats i want on a grill are the two who came down here and turned my emus loose for me to run down. just to beat the crap out of those brats would be okay even without a beer.

Amount of beer consumed should be based on outside temp.
Grilling is hard work.
85º=3 beers
90º=6 beers
100º= 12 beers
Ect..

Sounds great Bushman. My only question is this; I didn't see in the contents section how much beer one is supposed to drink while doing the grilling.

Brats and Beer
2 packages of Fresh Bratwurst
(Cheddar,hot and spicy work great!)
2 medium onions, sliced thin
1 Tbs All purpose seasoning
1 Tbs Butter
1 cup beer
1 cup BBQ sauce.
1 large piece of foil
10 crusty French Rolls
Prepare grill with coals at a medium, direct and even heat.
Put sliced onions, seasonings, butter, beer abd sauce
in a foil “bowl”, fold up and put
directly over coals, cook about 30 minutes until onions are
soft and a nice sauce is made.
Grill bratwurst on same grill until done.
Serve Bratwurst on a roll with BBQ onion beer sauce.
Also great as a cheeseburger, steak or pork chop topping!!!
