I had forgot how good those peanut bars were,the pizza was good too.

My wife and I were discussing the school pizza last night. It was great. Let's keep this post alive until someone comes up with the recipe.

Honestly, most of the food was crap when I was in school. The hamburgers were awful. The only things I liked were the pizza, hotdogs and vegetable soup. They still served this stuff when my daughter was in school and she is just out of school recently so you probably had the same things we had. I also loved the peanut butter delight bars.

Oh and I forgot the cheese sandwiches, but honestly anyone can make that cheese sandwich. It is just a big block of cheese and then toasted. Yummy.

My dad always talks about how good the schools lunches use to be, I wonder why people today including what I use to eat at school is crap basically.

I loved this pizza too. I also loved the school's beef vegetable soup and the cheese sandwiches. If anyone has these recipes I'd like them too.

Does anyone know how the Wilkes County School Cafeteria's use to make their Beef Cheese Pizza way back in the late 1970's and early 1980's? It was a thick crust with hamburger and I think cheddar cheese. It was really the best thing that I remember eating in the school cafeteria, besides maybe their hot dog chilli. I would love to know the recipe for the pizza if anyone remembers how they use to cook back in the day.
