Ok, you're lucky I had my cookbook with the ham recipe with me cause this was in it, too! It's rich and too good!

Old Fashioned Banana Pudding

3/4 c sugar
1/2 c flour
1 tsp vanilla
3 sliced bananas
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs, separated
2 C. scalded milk
2 Tablespoons sugar

Mix sugar with flour and salt. Gradually add beaten egg yolks to milk and pour slowly in to dry ingredients. Cook about 15 minutes in a double boiler, stirring constantly til thickened. Add vanilla. Line dish with wafers and cover with bananas then cover with custard. Beat the egg whites til stiff and add 2 Tablespoons of sugar and spread over custard. Bake 15 minutes at 325 degrees.

Does anyone have a recipe for the old fashioned Banana Pudding (nothing instant) or the old fashioned Banana Cake?
