Old Fashioned Banana Pudding
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c flour
1 tsp vanilla
3 sliced bananas
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs, separated
2 C. scalded milk
2 Tablespoons sugar
Mix sugar with flour and salt.
Gradually add beaten egg yolks to milk and pour slowly in to dry ingredients.
Cook about 15 minutes in a double boiler, stirring constantly til thickened.
Add vanilla. Line dish with wafers and cover with bananas then cover with custard.
Beat the egg whites til stiff and add 2 Tablespoons of sugar and spread over custard.
Bake 15 minutes at 325 degrees.

I am looking for an old fashion banana pudding recipe with the custard topping if anyone has one....
