Friday would be best for me. I'd like to finally learn to make biscuits. My Mom (God rest her soul) tried all my teen years to show me how and I could NEVER get the hang of it. And, since I know how to bake cakes, I'd like to learn to decorate what I've baked.

well, we got a few cake's decorated last night...but of course, not without a few laughs!!!

Started with a few leaves...then onto a couple of rose's...then the piece de'resistance' Poinsettia's...no not the pornsettia's mentioned earlier on YODA's words of wisdom thread...I have no idea what she was thinking of...but it certainly wasn't poinsettia's!!!Razz But I do know she ended up going in circle's when she was trying to do the border's on her cake!!! Round and round she went....as for where she landed nobody know's, yet!!! As of this posting I have not heard from her...YODA...I do hope you're ok!!!

Now, freddiemae's leaves and flowers just were'nt' quite right for her, she just kept dragging her's out. For some reason she just wouldn't settle for her's being to short!!! She likes the loooong one's!!!!Razz

1goddess's poinsettia's had a little extra added attraction...I like mine curly...you know just a little added flair there!!!! tickle tickle!!!!

So we ended up with 2 very nice basketweave cakes topped with rose's and poinsettia's!!! YODA and freddiemae did a really fine job on their cakes after detemining the proper lenghts and without the circling motion's going on!!!!

There is just absolutely no way that we can thank Mr. & Mrs. grannyfelts for all their help and love. You guys are absolutely the best!!!!

next week we are going to start the "colorflow technique" this ought to be really interesting, so far the only color i've seen flowing on any of my cakes has been down onto the cake plate!!!! Oh my!!!

Ya'll come join us, we are having a blast at this!!!!
