try cooking some ground beef and a can of baked beans some brown sugar and a green pepper and onion chopped finely and put all to gether then simmer

MIXED BAKED BEANS
1 can (3 1/2 c.) pork & beans 1 can (2 c.) your choice beans, drained 1 can (1 c.) lima beans, drained 1 can (1 c.) red kidney beans, drained 8 slices bacon, fried & chopped up 1 onion, chopped 1 c. chopped tomatoes 1 tsp. salt 1 T. dry mustard 1 T. Worcestershire sauce 3 T. vinegar 1/2 c. brown sugar 3 T. molasses
Mix all ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 8 to 10.

BAKED BEANS TENNESSEE STYLE
1 lb ground beef, fried and drained (leave a little grease for seasoning) 3 15 oz cans pork n beans 1 enevelope lipton onion soup mix 1 cup ketchup 1 -11/2 cups water 3 T yellow prepared mustard 3 T yellow vinegar 3 T (heaping) brown sugar
mix all ingredients well and bake at 375 for 50 minutes. i usually serve this with a pone of cornbread and this is the complete meal, yyummyyyy!!!!

your main ingredient other than beans, are brown sugar and molasses with strips of bacon on top-after baking-remove bacon

I usually use 2 cans of pork and beans....put them in a baking dish then add desired amount of brown sugar. Sautee some chopped onions and green peppers and fry the desired amount of hamburger meat then mix all in with the beans and bake for 45 minutes

Madge's Baked Beans
1 can pork and beans 1/2 pound hamburger 1 medium onion 1 sweet pepper 1/4 cup ketchup 1/4 cup molasses 1/4 cup worchestershire sauce salt/pepper to taste 2 Tablespoons vinegar
Brown burger on medium heat. Drain well. Add chopped onion, sweet pepper, salt pepper. Cover, turn heat on low. Let simmer until onion is clear. Stir well. Add beans, and other ingredients. Mix well. Put in baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. ***You can make this as hot as you wish by adding hot peppers.

A woman use to make something called calico beans at work and they was so good. Tasted a little like baked beans but better. I wish I had her recipe.

My husband uses this recipe! We use canned Bushes baked beans. Brown and drain the hamburger with the onion and green pepper, along with garlic powder, black pepper, little salt. Then add the baked beans and let it simmer for at least an hour! Mmmmm mmm! You can make a meal off that alone!
