Grilled Asparagus with Spicy Dressing
1/2 Pound Bacon
1-2 lb fresh asparagus
1 lemon
Salt & Pepper
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 buttermilk or milk
1 envelope ranch dressing mix (I use H. Valley)
1 small red onion, sliced thin
2 chopped fresh green onion for serving
1 lemon, divided
Red pepper flakes (or hot spice you favor)
Fry bacon till chrispy ,drain on paper towels.
Snap the tough tips of the asparagus then squeeze the lemon over the asparagus.
Salt and pepper and set aside to marinade.
The dressing just mix together and chill.
Grill the asparagus for about 10 minutes turning alot until tender.
Remove from grill and pour the lemon juice over the asparagus,
then just serve it with dressing and crumbled Bacon and green nonions.

If you love asparagus (I do too!) try very petite, thin fresh asparagus tossed in olive oil with salt and pepper and put it on the grill 2 or 3 minutes on each side. I tell myself every year I'm gonna' grow my own. Maybe I will this year.

I haven't had their asparagus, but I love a hollandaise sauce over it. Have you ever tried that?
