Thanks, Nancy! I also tried your Applesauce Cake recipe and it was delicious! I also have a great, easy recipe for Apple Cake if anyone is interested. Just ask.

Thanks Nancy...I know it's been a while but, I finally got to try out your recipe....that was absolutely WONDERFUL! I have been looking for a recipe for applesauce cake like my grandmother used to make for years and you gave it too me! Thank you soooo much. I did alter it a little though...I added 1/2 cup of raisins and 1/2 cups of walnuts...only because she put them in hers.

Thanks again Nancy....you have helped me bring back very fond memories of Grandma! :D

Here is a great applesauce cake recipe. I have a wonderful apple cake recipe is you would like. Just PM me if you are interested.


Applesauce Cake

1/4 C. Sugar & 2 tsp. Cinnamon mixed together in small bowl. Set aside.

1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
1- 16 oz. can/jar unsweetened Applesauce
3 Eggs
1/3 C. Crisco or Wesson Oil

Spray 10" tube pan with Baker's Joy. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend cake mix, applesauce, eggs & oil. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes.

Pour 1/2 batter into pan. Sprinkle half of the sugar/cinnamon mixture on top and swirl around. Repeat process.

Bake for approx. 45 minutes or until done. When cake tester or tooth pick comes out clean.
