Add Kraft caramels of Caramel Apple Butter. I have the recipe, but can't paste it on here. If you explain pasting on this board, or send me an email, I'll be glad to share it.

You can also add 1 bag of redhots to the crockpot and make it red ....I like mine hot & Spicy

CROCK POT APPLE BUTTER I like to use staymans
Put 3 quarts of apples, sliced thin, in a crock pot and cook overnight on high. Next morning, add 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 3 cups sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cloves. Cook all day on low. Tastes like old-fashioned apple butter that is cooked in copper kettle.
You can use applesauce if you do not have time to prepare the apples. The crock pot makes it possible for apples to cook a long time without being stirred.

I LOVE pink lady apples- sweet and tart! I wouldn't mind some recipes for those. The cider is unbelievable!

I have found several recipes for apple butter that you can make in the crock pot. They are all very similar. I was wondering if somebody has a recipe using the crock pot that you have tried and really like. Also, what kind of apples do you prefer, and how long do you process when canning. Thanks!
