Very good food....the corn cakes are just cornbread fried like pancakes.

Hwy 16 S. to Taylorsville, turn rt. at KFC intersection. Continue to next intersection, turn Rt. onto Hwy 90 W. Go to intersection of Hwy 90 & 127 maybe 2 miles. Turn Left onto Hwy 127 S.
Go 3-4 miles to Antioch Ch. Rd. turn Rt. Travel 5-7 miles. to Petra Mill Rd. on left. It is in a curve and easy to miss. Go approx. 1 mi. Sims is on the left. They have a sign. They are only open Fri and Sat. night.
Now that is some good eating !!!! Best beef BBQ anywhere!!!

If you go to Taylorsville and then turn right at KFC you go towards Lenoir and it is out there in the country somewhere. LOL! I can't really describe it. It is a barbecue place that has music and dancing. People come from all over to go there. The food is really good. I'll see if I can find directions for you that will be better than my crazy directions.

Daddy where is Slim's?

I love the beans they have. They are almost like what are called cowboy beans, but they have no meat. They have lima beans and other beans. I would love to have a recipe if any of you have one similar to this. They also have some really good strawberry preserves and some kind of corn cake. If you know how to fix the preserves and cakes let me know too.
