We put in laminate flooring 4 years ago.. I have always used pine sol or other cleaner the had a good smell to mop with. My floors got to be so dull I was wishing for carpet again.. A friend told me about Orange Glo. I bought a kit for 11.00 and it had a 5.00 rebate on it. I would have never believe it if I had not seen it with my own eyes. My floor looks new again. It cleans and shines wonderful.. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I use Bona. Get it at Lowes. Easy to use, just spray it on and mop it up. Works great on older wood floors as well.

Vinager is a straight up acid and I wouldn't put it on a shine floor. I've heard that for ever and can't understand why people still use it on hard wood floors. Your not doing yourself any favors your screwing up your floor. Use the Murphy's soap but just a little not too much.

Floor cleaner for hardwoods: 1/2 cup white vinegar to 1 gallon water

Also, this is a great glass cleaner. It can also be used on bathroom faucets and sinks as the alcohol disinfects. The mirrors do not fog up as much.

Glass cleaner: 2 Tbls. white vinegar, 2 Tabls. alcohol, 1 quart water.

My wife uses Murphys Oil Soap....we just moved to here to Elkin and most of the house is all 3 1/2" hardwood. This stuff seems to work really well with bringing out the shine and leaves no residue. Pour a little bit of Murphys into a mop bucket and fill quarter of the way with warm water and wipe down with rag. We always empty and refill the bucket so your not wiping dirt back down. Try it though..it's only a few bucks and sure you'll be surprised. Hope this helps. God Bless!!!!

I agree with homeremedies about the water and vinegar mixture. That is what I use on my wood floors.
