Trouble with riding mower

check gas cap... it needs to breathe should be a hole or have a check valve system (filter paper, plastic, etc) Coil/condenser could be getting hot, battery could be not charging, spark plug wire could be grounding out, fuel line too close to muffler, etc... good luck with it.. I would put a tune up kit in it, a new air filter, and oil if I was doing it....unless it was already done... Bruce

Whatever happens in the secondary, the main problem is that it is overheating. Check everything, esp an oil fouled muffler

Could be sensor on bottom of fly wheel that tells ignition module when to fire. Could be breaking down when it gets hot

ignition coil Wrap a wet rag around it & see if it runs longer. If so, that's most likely the problem.

gas cap could be too tight not allowing air flow to push gas to engine. Loosen it a little.

I'm having trouble with my mower, It starts just fine but it shuts off after you have been mowing for a while and won't start back. Wait a few minutes and it cranks right back up. Any ideas what the problem is?
