I've burnt several of mine out. Motor oil suggestion is good but add to that covering the top of it with a barrel lid or such so soaking rain can't hit it, but it can still dry out. If you cover it too well it will stay damp.

dig you a small hole beside it. Place pressure cooker in it. stand back a real good distance, make the call.

pour a gallon of gas on it, stand right over it and strike a match and touch it to the stump...
scream loudly... then stop ,drop and roll

Pour used car oil on it and let it soak for a few days and light it. Continue the process until stump is gone.

Don't do it, you'll just make the roots harder. And you don't know how far the roots go, so you can end up damaging something important.

Rent a stump grinder to get it below the ground. Then pour some of that fast-decay enzyme that you get from Lowe's, then cover it up with dirt.

Who can help me. I have a huge tree stump in my back yard and want to burn it out. Does anyone have any experience how to best do that? Has anyone done that?
