They have shower heads with a filter built in. That's what we have to use at the place we're renting. We moved in & it only took 2 days before we HAD to do something about that feeling... So, we went to the water filter area at Lowe's Hardware.

The one that we got works great.... especially for about $30

Hope that helps.

Use a clarifying shampoo. It helps remove build up on hair from over use of product, hard water and things like that. U can get a shampoo at Sallys Beauty Supply in the Ion line. Its in a light blue bottle.

I could get a sample of your water, have it tested for free and have a water softner designed to correct any problems.

You need to contact a lab to get a water sample analyzed. It will not be cheap. It sounds to me like you could possibly have organics in your water. However, this area has a lot of various inorganics depending on where you live. The Roaring River area has high nitrates, high iron, and high magnesium in the ground water in some places.

You don't like municipal water? It is highly regulated. The only chemical that is introduced is chlorine to kill bacteria, all the other chemicals but traces are removed in the alum floculation treatment process.

If your soap suds up well I do not think that your water is hard. You could call either W'boro or N W'boro water treatment plant and have them analyze the water to see what needs to be done. Any home filtration system, other than a particulate or carbon filter, can be rather expensive and will have to be maintained.

Hey everyone, my well water seems to get worse and worse. Now, I'm thankful that I have well water instead of municipal water but honestly, my clean, freshly shampooed hair looks and feels almost like it has a film over it - almost as if I have a buildup of hairspray or mousse products and I NEVER even use things like that...NEVER.

What suggestions do you have for the best water filtration system ( for this area), or conditioning drops for the water or even shampoos...or ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that might help me!

Many thanks ~~
